Prayagraj: In the Maha Kumbh 2025, the biggest gathering of Sanatan tradition to be held in Prayagraj, the hustle and bustle of saints has started increasing in the Kumbh area. The process of settlement of Akharas, the biggest attraction of public faith in Maha Kumbh, has started. On the instructions of CM Yogi, the Kumbh Mela administration has started allocating land for setting up cantonments in the Kumbh area with the consent of the saints of the Akharas.
Land allotted to 10 Akhadas in Kumbh area-
Chief Minister Yogi’s vision of organizing a divine and grand Maha Kumbh has started taking shape in the Kumbh area. The first step in this direction is the process of land allotment to Akharas, the symbol of Sanatan culture. Today, the Kumbh Mela administration has started allotment of land to the saints of Sanyasi and Udasi Akharas to set up their cantonments in the Kumbh area. Additional Kumbh Mela Officer Vivek Chaturvedi says that on the first day of allotment, land has been allotted to ten Akharas in the Kumbh area with the consent of the saints.
Mahant Ravindra Puri, President of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, says that on the first day, land was allotted to Sanyasi and Udasi Akharas. With the cooperation of the administration, now after completing the process of Bhoomi Pujan here, other traditions will be completed.
Akhadas demarcated their land, the tradition of planting pegs was completed-
With the consent of land allotment in all the Akharas, the team of officials of Kumbh Mela administration reached the Akhara Sector in the Kumbh Mela area along with the saints of the Akharas. Here, the Akharas were shown their land by the Mela administration where their camp is to be set up. The Akharas demarcated their land on a completely flat land. After this, the tradition of planting pegs in the Kumbh area was completed. Akhada Parishad President Mahant Ravindra Puri says that with the demarcation of land in the fair area, the akhadas have planted their pegs and now all the programs of the akhadas will be conducted from this land. Mahant Jamuna Puri, Secretary of Shri Panchayati Akhada Maha Nirvani says that we have received the land from the fair administration as per the established tradition of Kumbh. Now the settlement work will be completed as per the pre-planned plan of the akhada.
Consensus reached in the meeting held between the fair administration and the akhadas-
The fair authority had planned to allocate land for the akhadas on 18 and 19 November. Accordingly, a coordination meeting was organized between the fair administration and the akhadas at the headquarters of Shri Panchayati Akhada Bada Udasin Nirvana on Monday. In the meeting itself, the final seal was put on the allotment of land for the akhadas in the fair area. After the meeting concluded, the president of the Akhada Parishad, Mahant Ravindra Puri said, “All the 13 akhadas are united and we are ready for the land that the fair administration will give us.” He said, “It is our fair, our chief minister is Yogi ji… wherever we will be allotted land, we will happily mark it.” Mahant Ravindra Puri said, “In the meeting, everyone’s problems were heard and their solution has been found. Representatives of 10 akhadas have participated in this meeting… we have also talked to the remaining three akhadas. We are all united. We had asked the administration to increase the land and facilities, which the administration has accepted.”
Today, land was allotted to ten akhadas. The remaining three Vaishnav akhadas will be allotted land on November 19.
